I had been a graphic designer for the Newspapers for over 20 years. After I retired, I enjoyed being retired and had always I loved going to estate sales. One day I brought home a small display cabinet for $7.00. It had a broken leg, but was fixable. I discovered refinishing furniture was something I enjoyed. The more pieces I did, the more I learned. I felt I needed to keep track of my work, so in 2012, I started this blog. Not long after the blog’s inception, I started refinishing for others. Since 2012, my husband Jim and I have done hundreds of furniture items, each with its own challenges and triumphs. We have done very small items like a jewelry box and very large ones, such as an entertainment center that had to be re-engineering to fit a specific spot. When we get something new, like something we’ve never tackled before, it’s the real fun part because we know we’re going to make it beautiful and keep learning with each piece. Those furniture pieces each have their own unique story, so we hope you enjoy their journey.
