Jim found this lonely cabinet in an antique shop in Kalamazoo.

Wine Bar After |
It may have been used as a place to put silverware and linen napkins. The cabinet had definitely seen better days, but seeing its potential, Jim bought it with a thought in mind.
A wine bar, sparked by the top two drawers which lent themselves to lying bottles of wine horizontally, as they
should be kept. This required a bit of ingenuity. First, he removed the old tile top and stripped the entire cabinet free of it's prior red
color.

Next, he had to create matching drawers on the bottom so that wine bottles could be stored. He drew a sketch of how he had wanted the drawers to look, then transferred this idea to the existing curves and cut them into the flat lower drawers.
Once the engineering had been accomplished, he painted the entire cabinet black, which can be used in any environment. Three wine glass holders were added to the lower section of the cabinet, still allowing plenty of room to store linens beneath. On top he

replaced the old 1 x 1 tiles with a contemporary earth tone tile pallet, with hints of metallic flair. The cabinet had taken on a transformation from that old, neglected stuck-in-a-corner piece of furniture to a spanking new, functional piece.
